Recent developments

  1. Seven new Town Planning Schemes declared by BDA, alongside the 1,845-acre City Development Project land acquisition.

  2. NITI Aayog publishes the CER plan. Bhubaneswar–Cuttack–Puri–Paradip is one of four national pilot City Economic Regions.

  3. Vision document launched. ₹5,000 crore first phase, 70% ADB loan, 30% Centre. Metal downstream, biotech, textiles, tourism, IT.

  4. “New Bhubaneswar” satellite city. ₹8,000 crore PPP township across Mallipada, Daspur, Andharua and Gothapatna. A Singapore firm is preparing the DPR.

  5. Residential prices up 148% over the decade, and demand still climbing into 2026.
